containment covering

Rhode Island September 2010
A 180 foot tall water tower is shrinkwraped to provide a containment for sandblasting and painting the steel tank and support structure.
Large scale containment like this we use 12 mill thick, fire retardant film for durability and safety of the people working inside.

Shrinkwrap shelters can keep your project on schedule!

Shrinkwrap containment has many advantages:

  • Retains heat and stops wind, improving working conditions.
  • Light passes through the film to reduce lighting cost during the day. Covers act like a greenhouse in the sun, warming up during the day, even in the middle of winter.
  • Paint and insulation spraying can be done with more complete control of overspray and dust.
  • Shrinkwrap gives a clean look to your project, with option for advertising or signage on outside. We can supply stencils of any logo or information to be applied to the cover.
  • Shrinkwrap withstands wind and weather better than tarps and reduces labor cost due to repairs and maintenance.

We welcome the challenge involved in covering large and complex structures. Please call for more information and for a price quote.

Wells, ME - December 2008

A four story shrinkwrap shelter allows the building crew to enclose and heat their work area. This allows spray insulation and stucco application to the house even in the middle of a Maine winter. The cover lets in light, retains heat, and resists flapping and chafing. Our crew has since removed and recycled this cover.

Southport, ME - October 2007

A temporary cover over the porch of a home in Southport, Maine allowed a teak deck to be installed in late fall for a December move-in date.

Kingston, Rhode Island April 2010
